My thesis deals with analyses of returns of IPO’s in the Czech capital market. The theoretical section of the thesis contains of circumscription of main terms and methodics for preparations and realizations of IPO. In the analytical section these theoretical findings are applied. This thesis should bring realistic view of returns of IPO’s for investors and evaluate present trends on IPO market.

This thesis deals with an initial public offering, also known by the English abbreviation IPO, which is one of the company's financing ways. Basic concepts, preparation phases, and overall realization of IPO are explained in a theoretical part at the beginning of this work. The second part of the thesis focuses on companies on the Czech capital market where IPO has been realized since 2010.

The topic of the submitted thesis is the Economic and legal aspects of IPO (Initial Public Offering) and its purpose is to describe the process of an Initial Public Offering and subsequently apply the findings in the case study of one particular IPO - Pivovary Lobkowicz Group. The thesis is composed of six chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of Initial Public Offering. Chapter One is introductory and defines basic terminology used in the thesis. The chapter is subdivided into five parts. Part One describes the capital market. Part Two deals with IPO history, its subpart One with global history and subpart Two with Czech history of IPO. Underpricing IPO in Russian Market

This diploma thesis deals with the undervaluation of initial public offerings on the Russian market during the period of 2003-2014 using the ordinary least squares method. The main emphasis of the thesis lies in the development of primary emissions on the Russian market. Moreover, the previous literature is diversified by combining theory of asymmetric information with the analysis of market cycles. We have proved that shares are undervalued on average with the help of the latest figures from the Russian IPO market. By the subsequent analysis of the undervaluation phenomena and factors like age of the institution, size of the institution underwriters, market cycles, supply price of the issued shares, sector of the institution and P/E, P/CF indexes, we have arrived at the conclusion that the Russian IPO market is still developing. We have also demonstrated that in the case of high activity on the IPO market, the so called ¨hot period¨ on the market, and in the case of overpriced shares, the Russian IPO companies undervalue their shares. Application of czech and foreign capital markets as a tool for corporate financing

The czech capital market is currently rarely used by the domestic enterprises for obtaining financial resources, although in the world this way of obtaining finance is common. There were regulatory changes in the czech capital market, but despite this partial liberalization, it has not increased interest of czech companies on issuing of shares or bonds. The focus of this dissertation is therefore a comparison of the conditions for corporate financing in countries with developed capital market and identifing any differences. The work also examines the evolution of corporate finance on the capital markets in different continents, influence the IPO on the financial health of the company and analyzes the impact of the amendment of the Act on Bonds.
The Impact of Board Structure and Diversity on IPO Underpricing

The objective of this doctoral dissertation is to extend the existing knowledge in the area of Corporate Governance in the region of Central Europe. Specifically, a study focuses on companies entering the public market and examines whether board structure and diversity have an impact on the success of the Initial Public Offering. The dissertation is divided into several parts. Firstly, theory of Corporate Governance and Signaling theory, explaining the potential influence of the board characteristics on the public offering outcome, are introduced. The following is an extensive literature review related to each of the selected variables. In the analytical part of the thesis, methods of statistical analysis are employed to verify the hypotheses and the results are discussed considering the findings of prior studies.
